William Balfour, the only person charged in the murder of Jennifer Hudson's family appeared in court yesterday, August 2, 2010 before a new judge. Judge Lawrence Fox who previously presided over the proceedings has retired. Cook County Criminal Court Judge Charles P. Burns has been appointed new judge of the proceedings. A continuance was granted "by agreement" of both parties.
