William Balfour (the only person charged in the murders of Jennifer Hudson family members) appeared in court today before judge Mary Roberts (filling in for newly appointed judge Charles P. Burns). The defense informed the judge that they are still conducting their own investigation into the murders and needed an additional thirty (30) day extension. A continuance was granted "by agreement" of both parties and a status hearing was scheduled for after the Thanksgiving holiday.
