The 27th annual Chicago Blues Festival (In Grant Park June 11 - 13) preludes this Sunday, May 23, 2010 with a blues concert at the Maxwell Street Market located at 800 S. Desplaines Avenue. Schedule to perform are Chainsaw Dupont & The Blues Warriors with special guest, Chris Canas:

The Chicago Blues Festival is a direct result of the blues music that originated and was performed daily on the old Maxwell Street Market (Jew Town) during the 1920s to the year 2000 so it is only fitting that we prelude this years Chicago Blues Festival with a free blues concert at the new Maxwell Street Market.
